Hi everyone,

I am completely new to world of Toyota and these forums so forgive me if I am breaking any forum rules with this post!

I have just purchased a Toyota Yaris VVTI GS 3dr 1.0 as my first car. It came with a cassette adaptor so I can plug in my iPhone and play music. However, when I plug in my iPhone I have to turn up the volume very high to even hear the music and when I can hear it is extremely fuzzy and therefore unplayable.

Is there any other alternatives or am I doing something wrong??

Thanks again,

Gary

Moved thread to the In Car Entertainment section. Sounds like you need to spring for a newer head unit.

Make sure the volume is up all the way on your phone?

why?

Yes, those things rely on the volume of your phone. So the best is to turn you phone's volume half way up and your car's volume half way up, because the adapter can easily overheat as well.

I usually do 75% volume on the phone/iPod. I find that works best.

If it works for the adapter you are using then that is what matters. I had an adapter that would overheat after an hour or two if the volume from my ipod was over 50%. It was really annoying. So glad I don't need to use that anymore.
