I replaced my car battery in my all stock 07 Yaris (my car doesn't have power lock or power windows..) and the car alarm has been going off like crazy. I've tried everything I could think of. I've used the key to lock, unlock, open and close the trunk.. but nothing happens and the alarm keeps going off. The car wont start what at all. It wont even turn over. When I try to start it the lights on the dashboard and all light up.. but I dont even hear the engine turn just the dam alarm.

Only way to stop the alarm is to take out the battery. I even tried putting back the old battery, but as soon i put it back in the alarm goes off with either the new or old battery. PLEASE I NEED HELP ! This has been driving me crazy since yesterday.

Looks like the alarm system has disabled ignition. My only guess to fix this is to find the model of your alarm system to be able to locate the user manual.

I had this happen to me a long time ago. I removed the system in the end.

Usually with the aftermarket alarms there is a disarm function on power-up that requires something like turning the ignition on and off or locking and unlocking the door with the remote (or key if there is no remote).
