Good day all. Long time reader, infrequent poster.
I have an issue I can't seem to solve.
2007 base model Yaris sedan.
Turn on headlights, and sometimes the passenger's taillight and lights for automatic shifter don't light up. Put into drive and if I shake the shifter between 3 and D or N and D I can get them to come on.
Currently all other lights work. Did just pop the bulb on drivers side headlight but feel likely unrelated.
In past have had issue with climate control knobs lighting up, but not recently.
Have had issues in past with ABS and brake light coming on when wet out and car shakes, ie pothole in snow etc. Again don't feel related, but all facts might help.
Not a car guru, but can usually figure things out well enough.
Any ideas? I've read threads on all lights being out, but can't find any with partial symptoms.
