weird hard to explain noise

Hi

I have a 07model every morning when I start my car I here a noise coming from the engine it sounds like it's coming from around the belt area . It's not a squeaky noise. It comes on for like 30seconds then goes away once the car is warm. If I switch of the car and let it rest for for a few hours, when I start it again later the noise comes back. If my engine is warm I don't have a problem, it's only when the car has been resting for a while.

Can any one please give me a solution?

Check your belt.

It is most likely the belt slipping.

Could be loose airbox too ... I have a "rattle" type noise coming from under hood on the driver's side ... does not sound metallic and occurs with car at high idle (i.e. cold start-up), or when stopped with trans in "D" & holding car with brakes ... popped the hood and grabbed the airbox with both hands and the rattle went away ... just have to figure out how to tighten 'er down!
