I recently installed them on my GF's 01 celica GT-S with some German branded lowering springs, and honestly, neither of us could be happier. I should have put the bump stops back in on the front, but I kind of forgot :p

I feel part of the reason they get some poor reviews is due to people buying them because of the lower price, and dumping the car on lowering springs that are too small, thus blowing them out. Would have happened with bigger brand struts too.

Quality wise I am happy, too. build quality is pretty high up there, welds look nice, the paint on them was good, everything fit perfectly. Ride wise is fantastic, stiff around a corner but comfortable over bumps and during cruising, etc.

See, /that/ was what I was asking for. An opinion from somebody here who has actually used them on a Yaris. Also, I wasn't expecting them to be on the same level as Koni, Bilstein or Tokico, just something better than 8 year old/118K miles stock shocks.

I run them on my tercel track day/autoX car with ground control coilovers. When new they were amazing. Bad winter roads and bottoming out often killed them fast. I have another set waiting to go on when the season breaks.

I recommend them, happily. are you using stock springs with them also?

Bumping to subscribe, but with Tokico Blues no longer being offered - I broke down and ordered a set of these Stagg's. Will install within next few weeks.

Lordy those are cheap. Cheap as in inexpensive, not cheap cheap. At that price be the guinea pig for us (well at least those of you in the continental US).

Right? I have about 60,000 miles on my Tokicos (which seem fine still). Not sure when I'll need to replace them, but I'm seriously considering these.
