I have never seen a stock US spec car that light.
This one is 2286lbs with a 1/4 tank of fuel. Just need to pull 450lbs out.

More progress, got the interior out to the point we can install a rollcage. More cutting and weight reduction to take place later.
Funny thing was finding a cellphone under the carpet, embedded in the padding. This is a car that has never been sold, never left the Toyota campus until we picked it up. A little digging and we found the phone appears to be from France. Some poor person installing interior bits on the assembly line likely lost it.
Filled a dumpsters with all unneeded interior bits, total time to strip was about 4 hours.

It is locked. TMS is going to ship it back to TMMF. Could be a goodwill thing, or a point of training.

I dont have the space to keep all the little bits and pieces. All the stuff lived in the back of my Tundra until I needed to haul something else, then it all (non hazardous stuff) went in the dumpster. :frown:

Just out of curiosity, are you keeping the original steering rack or is it beneficial to move up to the quicker steering on the SE?

For road racing the standard rack is quick enough, and since we pull out the power steering we really don't want to increase the effort required to turn the wheels either.

Why did you knock out the windows? That would increase drag by a lot.

Finding the cell phone on the floor pan actually made me lol.
What suspension are you currently running? I am running the exact same wheel setup 15x7 +35 with a different tire profile (205/50R15) and am afraid that I will rub in extreme cornering situations. Do you clear the fenders with those 215/50R15 tires when you drive the car hard?

Ah crap, I wanted to see the skeleton when the padding was still in the front dash of the car, Jason ripped it out.

A few laps from BWRP on Sunday in the new car. Reset the lap record on lap 3. Great fun leading the group to the green, and talking the overall win: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1O1YcEYsr4
