HI
I bought recently a FIC 6 used but without the CD, I downloaded the software from aemelectronics.com but every time i try to open base cal, the program asks for CALIBRATION FILE PIN.
Any ideas anyone?? :iono:
thank you

I wish you all the best F/IC support has dropped off over the years.

Asking for the PIN means that the cal file you are trying to open was protected by the tuner. Some tuners do that to prevent their customers from seeing their magic.

PM me your email and I will email you a Yaris base map without PIN protection.

the problem is that when I install the software and try to open base cal (before pluging fic) so I can after connect fic, it recuires a CALIBRATION file PIN so I don't think is the tuners protection

I got your email about changing your computer's region to US. Once you did that could you open both your original file and the one I sent you?

Yes after changing my computer's region to US I can open both files and other found on net(just to check the program) BUT now i have another problem:
When i try to reflash or get slave version of FIC everything is good but when I try to connect FIC this message appears: "FIC firmware version 3 is not compatible and must be updated! Please refer to the re-flashing section in the manual."
I reflashed FIC several times trying z104,z107 and z110 version but nothing :/
shoud i try reflashing with the x3.81 version which is in the AEM folder?

Yes. Load the 3.81 version first.

Another question:
I'm about to install my fic to 2sz-fe and I dont know if i have to use the vacuum hose connected after the throttle body or the MAF signal is enough??
and if its necessary to connect the O2 sensor(bank1 sensor1) because it is really useful gauge when tuning(OBD tool A/F not stable), If yes, some HELP please with connection?
thanks again:D

I finally connected FIC with the O2 modifier wire just taped on Signal+ wire(no resistors)
and without the vacuum hose!
the car with the jumper harness works exactly like before! but when I plugged fic for the first time the car was hardly running even at idle and the check engine warning went ON
The OBD reads the warning like "MAF sensor low circuit input" and after 1-2 minutes with engine struggling also "crank and cam position sensor problem"
then i erased the warnings and INCREASED the MAF voltage by 4% the car now runs ok bu it has sometimes unstable IDLE and when i step hard on the throttle it stalls for ~1sec!
I'm running the z107 firmware and stock engine for now(2sz)
any thoughts?

Did you set the injector response time to at least 810us?

yes, I've seen it in this forum and i tried even higher ~850-860(I think in one of your post's)
I have also used everywhere as LOAD INPUT --> MAF and set MAF's max voltage clamp 5V (4,88)
the only deference with the cal you send me was the "acceleration sensitivity (yours:24,2 mine 1,8)
so I'am realy confused, I checked the wiring twice to be sure it is correct !!! I dont't know whats wrong :/

Did you hook up the vacuum hose? I have never run a FIC without feeding it the vacuum/boost.

finally I solved the problem
It wasn't the vacuum or the wiring
In one of the 2 black connectors some pins where a bit loose and that caused unstable connection

Thanks for the help guys :D
