Well :iono: if I want to go ahead and finish painting the other two hub caps... aka put them on or not. So I ask YW what do you think

I always liked full moons, and the color match is cool, IMO. But, I am in my 40's and dig the old school "Hot Rod" look.

What would look weird is to paint them to look like eyeballs. :eyebulge: But as they are, I like.

It's whatever you like. I'm not into the moons at all.
The contrast is kind of funny in the third pic. The shadows drown out the black of the tires so much it almost looks like your car is floating on white discs.

I can't remember where, but there is an outfit that can do mold matched tires. Can you imagine how 2010/Space odesy that would look.

Very street rod, kind of like a bonneville car. Not my cup of tea, but go for it if you like it.

I'm leaning towards finishing them up...
I think I'm gonna go ahead and finish up the paint job... let them cure for a week... and then; well; then i'll see....

ChinoCharles

For the record, that paint I laid down was dry and ready for road use in 24 hours like the can said. Basically, it said as long as you laid down all the coats within an hour it would set in 24 hours. I rolled on them for a few days and no chips, scratches or anything. Problem is I noticed some orange peel and dust and such. That is what I get for spraying outside and in a hurry. They get sanded and repainted soon.

Its different Ill give you that, and original, I like originality. But to me they just look too.. Plain, it would be cooler maybe if they had some sort of definition to them.

But if YOU like them, I say by all means do it.

sorry guys, but i got it from Sponsorship, i can't take them off, anyway it's make my yaris freaking different, i got alot of compliments about it. i'll probably take the one on the back off soon. but not on the side and hood. Graphics plus Full Moon Disc make my car look like a futuristic car. i'll have to wait until another year before i can take it off.

I like the baby moons on the red wheel with the beauty rings that's the shit. Too bad I don't think we can use the baby moons on the stock steelies.

nope, dont believe so... not sure how we could without the wheels poking out, would require a RWD offset

I kinda like them haha. Question though: Do those block the brakes from cooling adequately?

Black Yaris
05-02-2007, 11:34 AM
I would think so since they are a solid wheel

ChinoCharles

They're not so much for daily driving. More show purposes.

Full moons are probably the "first" race hubcap for aerodynamics....used in dry lake/salt flats speed trials and you can see them on early dragsters as well. Bailout why don't you have these!!!!!!

I HATE those wheels!!!! They are the new spinners.

Soon they will be appearing in primary colors in addition to clear.

THATS UGLY. sorry

well to which pic now??
I'm not a fan of the see through... in fact I'm not even a fan a thin spokes either....

and thanks to all that have voted... as soon as I clean-up the other two hub caps (had them on a while ago... didnt bend the pins out.. lets just say i was driving 30 through the city with my head out the window for 2miles) I will be painting and then putting them on. I like the idea that at night, you wount be able to see the tire, and it'll look like i'm floating on little white disc

Looks to much like a white cabby. Only need the taxi light on top of your car and you would be in business.

Very interesting style!

Now, install narrower tires to complete the aerodynamic look, and save a little gas too!
