I'll kick this one off by asking which go the lowest?
I know the tein offer a pretty smooth ride, but I want low! Haha

Just to recap I'm relatively new to the forums, but I have done countless hours of research on coilovers. I just haven't really read anything about the tanabe coilovers so some information would be great.I have however, read a lot about the Tein's and I'm just not all that interested in them. I have been leaning towards Megans, but I am definetly open to alternatives. Thanks!

Tein goes lowest.

Tanabe here. Very nice ride for the street, helper spring is unique to them:

Tanabe is better quality than the Megans. NOTE: Tanabe does not have damper adjustment.
I have installed and driven on nearly every coilover brand made for the Yaris.

Thanks for the quick response. The main reason I'm looking for coilovers is to go low. I hate to admit it, but that's it. I also don't want the worst ride ever, but I used to have raceland coilovers on my old civic. It is my undrrstanding that the Tein's offer a 2" drop correct?

Tein is -1.8" front / -1.9" rear with the perches (meaning it's installed as intended by the manufacturer).

Some people run coilovers without the perches to get a max drop, but I don't recommend it as the shocks aren't designed for that.

Megan Racing doesn't publish their drop specs, but it's about the same. I might have one set I can offer at the same price.

If you have a set of Megan's, you would also have a buyer tonight or tomorrow!

And of course I pulled the trigger on some super-inexpensive Tokico Reds last week. #buyersremorse

^ You didn't buy them from me?

So, anyone else for coilovers? eBay soon if not, with a higher price.

I didn't see them on the suspension page, or I would have considered it. It was the link posted in a related thread to an Amazon marketplace selling them at about 30% of retail. Only 2 sets were in stock at that price, jumped on it like a live grenade.

No one asks, even when they know we generally stock the part, carry the brand and support the community. And therein lies the death of Micro Image.

I read this, as I'm sporting one of my MI tee shirts :(

So it's as I suspected? Is it really happening?

It's not a viable business model when people use the time you gave them for professional, knowledgeable advice, and then shop around and buy from someone who doesn't know a thing about the parts, all to save $10 (or whatever).

It's not a viable business model when people (returning customers!) who know you sell, usually stock and know about every part for the car, don't ask for a price match, availability, etc.

I am happy to provide parts at great prices, and will continue to stock things that sell steadily.

Meanwhile, back to the topic. TANABE and TEIN coilovers are SOLD, one set of TANABE left, thank you!

I call you several times and PM, no answer and get a PM back days later after parts are purchased. I want to give you the business!

Are you talking about something else, that is not about this sale?
