View Full Version : P/S Light after Remote start install

Hello everyone, I recently had a Remote Start/Alarm system installed on my Girl friends 2007 Yaris. That was about 3 weeks ago. Since then the P/S light on the dash has come on twice. it is when she is starting the car. It will remain on. When she shuts the car off and starts it again later it does not come back on... Any ideas? Should I go back to the store that installed the Remote start? Or is there something else I should do first?

Sounds like they may have missed one of the ignition outputs, so the PS ECU is not powered by the remote starter.

CTScott, The thing is it has only happened twice in the 3 weeks. about 6 days ago. and just today. If they missed the ignition output wouldn't it happen every time? Or is it still possible they missed one and it is a sporadic issue.

Correct. If it is intermittent, it may be a timing thing where the module delays between switching them on. Take a look at the manual for the starter to see if there are settings for that.
