yrsdrgn

yrsdrgn
05-01-2007, 10:37 PM
i don't mind going to vallejo if there is a lot of scenery for nice picture taking haha. SF.....there might be too many tourist and we'd get caught in traffic around the nice picture taking spots.

Kaotic Lazagna
05-01-2007, 10:40 PM
true, true (about SF). as for Vallejo, there's a park called Blue Rock Spring (it'll be okay if there weren't too many people), there's the vista point/rest area off the freeway west bound coming from Sac, a few places near Jesse Bethal High School, and my pick, the waterfront/marina.

yrsdrgn
05-01-2007, 10:44 PM
cool....but all i know is SF so any other places you mention aside from Six Flags in Vallejo i'd be confused about haha but I trust you on those places being nice

Kaotic Lazagna
05-01-2007, 10:46 PM
haha, Marine World Africa USA, Six Flags Marine World, Discovery Kingdom...i lost track of what the name is. hahaha. but seriously, that place changes its name so much. i guess they're trying to bring back an emphasis on the animals again. but yeah, i think that the waterfront is the best place in Vallejo.

yrsdrgn
05-01-2007, 10:51 PM

If you make the meet at the end of Aug. I will be driving through SF. On the subject is their any cool local spots in norcal I should make a point to stop at.

Kaotic Lazagna
05-02-2007, 06:04 PM
hmmmm, i really haven't been to many places, but yes, SF is a good spot. Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo for a themepark....can anyone else help him out?

Kaotic Lazagna
05-02-2007, 06:05 PM

Kaotic Lazagna

so, who's actually interested in this meet other than me, yrsdrgn, and barebonedvitz?

GuySmily

I'm just on the fence between local vs driving all the way to the bay. Kinda tough for me to drive to the bay area.

Ironically, I am posting this from a hotel in Millbrae (South SF).

Sac is easier for me, but I don't have an official vote.

yrsdrgn
05-06-2007, 04:22 AM
haha i drive down near milbrea almost every day for school lol

GuySmily
05-06-2007, 02:40 PM

yrsdrgn
05-06-2007, 03:01 PM

I'd say it's because the poll was opened at 5:54 pm

Kaotic Lazagna

eTiMaGo
05-12-2007, 05:34 AM
what I would say is... Why don't you guys PM each other your addresses, then someone put them into Google Earth or some other mapping software, then see where everyone's at, and try to find a good meeting point roughly in the middle?

yrsdrgn
05-12-2007, 02:30 PM
hey, i like that idea of yours Etimago. Who wants to collect them addresses? lol

Kaotic Lazagna
05-12-2007, 07:34 PM
lol...i think the middle place is Vallejo, not to be biased or anything (if that, i would say Sac, lol).

i can get them addresses.

And Sac takes the lead... though honestly what's there to do there? I just live close. Where ever it ends up, I'm down... if my crazy work schedule allows.

yrsdrgn
05-14-2007, 01:01 AM
well i guess the yaris owners in yarisworld.com will be able to see each others car up in person and meet the owner of the car and everyone would be chatting i guess? other than that maybe all get lunch or something and then do a little cruising around in a Yarii Pack haha

Kaotic Lazagna
05-14-2007, 01:30 AM
haha, Sac, let's see, there's nothing much here. the drag strip? not really sure where to cruise to though.

Kaotic Lazagna
05-17-2007, 02:53 AM
okay, poll has ended, and the votes favor Sac.

We can keep going north, pass thru Cool, CA till we get to 80, and eat at the Black Angus near North Sunrise Blvd.

Kaotic Lazagna
05-17-2007, 08:43 PM
i don't even know where that's at, but sounds good to me. lol...i can meet up with you and just follow you. hahaha...

Kaotic Lazagna
05-17-2007, 08:43 PM

GuySmily
05-18-2007, 09:40 PM

Kaotic Lazagna
05-19-2007, 08:28 PM

ewww Black Angus. I work about 3 blocks from that corner.

Pilot Hill -> Cool -> Auburn on 49 is a nice drive. Esp the Cool -> Auburn part ;)
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f126/scorpio516/Auburn%20SRA/AuburnSRA7.jpg

I'd take Auburn/Folsom Rd to Douglas if you wanted black angus - or anything else by the galleria - just cause auburn/folsom rd is nicer than 80 :D

Kaotic Lazagna
05-20-2007, 01:08 AM
i don't know that area. =\

GuySmily
05-20-2007, 10:21 PM
Yeah I've only driven it once, and I was with my gf. She wanted Black Angus =p

El Dorado Hills is east of Sacramento.
Taking 50 East:
Sacramento -> Rancho Cordova (Sunrise)-> Folsom -> El Dorado Hills (EDH)
(Right?)

Kaotic Lazagna
05-21-2007, 01:36 AM
that shouldn't be too far. probably 30-40 minutes depending on traffic?

WRBlue
05-22-2007, 03:28 AM
30-40 min if your starting in Natomas and heading W on 80 to 50. Or from Davis.
Its about 5 minutes from the Folsom rd exit on 50.

Kaotic Lazagna
05-22-2007, 04:33 AM
hahaha, i got it right, 30-40 minutes.

barebonedvitz
