What is this on my lower dash? 2012 SE Hatch Back *PICs*

What is this part circled on the lower dash by the hood release? Has a long black wire with.white connector that not plugged into anything.

Unscrew it from the panel and take a look--it's not plugged in as you said. Did you buy the car new or used?

I think it's a relay. Do you have aftermarket foglights or undercar lights or something similar?

I have a 2012 SE that I bought new and that is not there so must be aftermarket.
