Nice! What bits did you use for your hitch and wiring?

Reese Towpower 77191 Class I Insta-Hitch 1-1/4" Square Tube Receiver

Curt 56175 3 to 2 Wire Converter with Circuit Protection

The hitch take a little bit of tightening of the top bolt before the bottom bolts and its a tight fit for those with average to larger hands.

The wiring harness also requires some work. I took the driver's side rear plastic panel off part ways to get to the area i needed and then worked to the other side and just went through the opening that is provided.

Just curious, I've always pulled off the rear lights on vehicles I'm wiring up a 4-way harness to and tapped off the lights there for the converter, then hid the converter somewhere inside the paneling in the trunk area. Any reason you chose to run the wiring from the kick panel?

Looks just like the trailer I'm thinkin gof picking up, they cost a bit more up here though, prices on them are much better in the States...

BTW: Very jealous that you Americans get those well priced Harbor Freight trailers. If I had the balls, I'd bring such a kit back into Canada (If you actually declare it, they charge 13% tax plus about $300 in inspection and RIV fees which kills the deal).

What length trailer is that? Im looking to do the same thing, Im just not sure what length to weight ratio I should go for.

That would be the one.
Getting ready to add an even bigger (heavier kayak) to the fleet. It now makes having that even more important because I cant clean and jerk a 140lb kayak to the top of the car (besides, I think the roof would cave....:laugh:).

lol; 3 will be my max fleet on my trailer.
The 2 you see and a 2012 Hobie PA 14 (likely addition). Its a big heavy beast, but I cant pass up the price vs what i'm getting for the price.
