I can't find any instructions on changing the Engine filter, I assume it's not that difficult, anyone can give me any insight ?
If you mean the engine oil filter and it's the paper cartridge type then you might well need one of these, or similar, to remove the cover. http://www.amazon.com/Assenmacher-Specialty-Tools-TOY-640/dp/B0015PK3AG/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1430380034&sr=1-1&keywords=assenmacher+specialty+tools+toyota#Ask

I'd assume he's talking about the air filter.

Correct, the air filter. It's the same in the video as in the newer Yaris ?

I have the filter, I just wanted to know how to install, I know there are two latches, it's as simple as releasing those latches, that's it ?
So why not write engine air filter?:iono:

It is NOT easy to change the AF on my 09 hatch. The AF housing location is crowded and the very stiff intake and connecting hoses make getting the housing apart and back together again very fiddely.
You can do it but it takes time. I guess it doesnt help any that I am old and have aches and pains!

Yes, the gen2 and the gen3 are the same. Fortunately with the gen3, thanks to the change in headlight shape, there is a bit more room to reach in and work the clips.

In the video there is an electrical wiring that is disconnected, must this be done on the third generation, or no ?

Again, the construction of the gen3 is the same as gen2. To simply replace the primary filter element, nothing needs be disconnected. He is disconnecting everything attached to the top of the air box in order to be able to flip it over and show the secondary charcoal filter to the camera.
