Change in temperature will change the performance of the engine. Bad gas will do the same. That or its just in your head :p
electronics, revs, etc. Drive by wire doesn't help.

All of the above could be true. The ecm also learns your driving habits, so drive it how you want it to respond.

Really ???
I find mine unresponsive and sluggish too sometime. esp when engine still cold.
Footwear also makes a difference.

if you run a Scangauge or similar, compare your Intake Air Temp when it's running sluggish and when it's running good. On my stock yaris, the car feels better with lower IAT. (hence why a cold air intake could be good)

What abou disconnecting the battery to reset the ecu. After a few minutes, connect the battery. Start the car and let it idle for 10 mins. After that, drive how you want it to learn, enjoy!

A cold engine tends to over fuel due to the cold air.
Cold air is more dense and harder for fuel to vaporize due to the cooler engine temperature.Fuel in liquid form does not combust, this creates poorer response when the engine is still cold.
There are number of factors, temperature , altitude and humidity seems to be the big ones,I find when my engine gets heat soaked or coolant temperature goes above a certain temperature the car tends run sluggish. Also on warmer days car runs bad this is all due to the poor air density.

just like aspro said....temperature change cause major performance issue..i live in thailand 40c/104f with jungle weather and humidity...im doing 0-100 high 9 to 10 sec with all the mods....sucks balls...😥😥😥
only time of the year is january which is cool for like 2 weeks(22c/71f) with no humidity....man..im like flying on the highway 😂😂😂
