Im going to be picking up a 2nd set of wheels to avoid the annoyance and accumulated cost of swapping tires. Does anyone have experience with having extra or new TPMS sensors synced to their 2nd gen Yaris? And what did it cost to have it done, I have an '08 so Im pretty sure I cant do it myself.

Personally, I'd probably just leave them with regular valves and live with the TPMS light illuminated on the dash for the winter.

You have to reprogram the TPMS ECU to switch between the two sets. I am not sure what a dealer or tire shop would charge to do so. Another option would be to pickup an extra TPMS ecu off ebay or from a junkyard and have it programmed for the second set. Then, when you switch tires, you pop off the glove box, and swap modules.

We charge 40$ for this at Toyota so either don't bother with winter wheels just run normal values or do Scotts way ...i like that idea ...just keep in mind sensors will run u at about 50$ each.
PS I hate TPMS!
Also keep in mind u need to do this ever time u switch over...reprogram.
On our second car I use stock wheels with sensors for winter ,summer normal values....cos I'm cheap lol
