Hi! I have a 06 Vitz 2S-ZFE analog speedometer

The speedometer hit 80kph with the ignition on without engine start.

Also when I am driving I stop the car and the speedometer hit the 80hph and I hear something hard in the transmission feels like somebody hit me in the back.

When I remove the feet from the brake pedals the speed going normal to cero again.

Thanks JB

Does it have an automatic transmission? If so, the instrument cluster feeds the speed to the ECM, and if either the speed sensor is feeding it bad info, or if something is wrong with the speedo where it is feeding the bad info on its own, the ECM will not shift the transmission correctly.

Hi! Yes is automatic! Do the speedo read the transmission sensor or abs sensors?

Hi! Yes is automatic! Do the speedo read the transmission sensor or abs sensors?

For the Japanese market Vitz, the speed input to the cluster does come from the ABS sensors (via CAN bus message from the ABS ECU) instead of from the transmission sensor.

Hi! Problem solve, it was the front right abs sensor, the reading was 274kph in this side!

Thanks for the help!
