There's a thread about monthly GTA meets at the Mississauga Krispy Kreme. I'm probably the closest Yarisworld member to it. I WISH somebody actually came to the meet regularly.

Either way, if you're ever in need, I offer you my humble Yaris experience and comradeship. We'll have donuts and coffee.

But i did see one red 3 door hatch that had Micro Image stickers on the windows and thought it was awesone just becuase of that. I didnt see any other micro image parts on it though, maybe just fog lights.

Yeah, it was an 07 RS. *edit* I was wrong, its an 06* What prevented me from buying it was alot of stone chips on the front bumper and kinda high km's. I'm going to keep looking for a yaris to pick up but if nothing that i like comes up i might have to turn to another car :frown:

I'm about 15mins from the krispy Kreme, one day i'll stop by and check them out. It's be nice seeing a Yaris doing laps out there and to talk with someone who knows just as much about the car as I do.

Get this, so im only 19, have my full G licence and called up a few insurance companies, i was shocked to hear that a yaris 3 door is considered the same as a honda civic and other 2 door cars. I got quated on average $440/ month. I paid $340 for my old 2001 pontiac grand am gt. Its hard to justify paying that much for insurance for any car lmao

I learned that the hard way with my old hyundai accent 3dr. Always go 4 door as 2 doors are considered 'race cars'. The report that came out earlier this year stating that Ontarians paid an extra 9 billion in the past 10 years in insurance isn't surprising when you compare our rates to other provinces/states. We're being bent over in this province

One way insurance for both my Yaris and Wife's Civic = 45$/month here. :)

I've never, ever paid more than 1400$ a year for both my Yaris and my Echo, both were purchased brand new. I did have to pay more for my Echo because it was "2" doors.

Let's hope the insurance company covers you when they find out about the "lots of mods". Unfortunately, in Ontario, almost all mods are a violation of the Highway Traffic Act. Yes, I'm also guilty, but old in comparison and under $100.00 per month.

Just sold my 2005 Echo, so technically not really qualified anymore, but I'm in the GTA!

Don't want to be 'that guy' that joins a forum just to sell something, and now that the Echo is gone, both my wife and I really miss it, so gonna see if I can contribute where I can to the forum.

Maybe we'll end up with a zoom-zoom'd yaris in a few years??

I tried Hollander Parts, a junker inventory search engine, as well as Dom's Auto Parts in Courtice, one of the largest wrecking yards in the region. Nothing as far as Yaris RS parts available.

I used to go to part source in the past. They will even clear the cel for you if you're nice to them. Technically they aren't supposed to apparently

Sorry for the sidetrack. But was hoping if any current owners can recommend an honest quality mechanic in GTA. I'm a long time Yaris owner (07) and hope to keep it for another few years. I've done most of the maintenance/repair on my own (waterpump, alternator, front rotors pads etc.) but no longer have the time/effort. I'd consider a newer Yaris before they became Mazda rebadged. I'm just a Yaris fan for being simple/reliable although I keep mine stock if I had the budget would be nice to add mods.

I'm located in Scarborough (Sheppard/Warden) but planning to move to Vaughan (Weston/Major Mack) soon.
