Hello,

I have a Toyota Yaris hatchback from 2007. Yesterday I put an fm transmitter in de cigarette lighter, the fm transmitter got power for a few seconds after that it stops. Since then de cigarette lighter does not give power. I have checked the fuse and the fuse was all right. I also checked If the cables for the cig. Lighter get power but on the cables is no power.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Arthi

Besides the CIG fuse, also check the ACC fuse.

Wow!! Unrelated, but I've been wondering where to mount my FM Transmitter for months so it's not in the way, thanks for the logical idea you gave me. Just gonna get a cigarette charger adapter so I can plug it in "when" I need it :D Hope you come right with your problem though.. **

Nice to hear that your problem is fixed.
Does some one know a solution for me? Or can I connect a wire direct from the cig lighter to the battery with an fuse between it? So yes how many Ampere does the fuse need?

Check the FM transmitter itself, if its a cheap shit one then it probably has a bad connection / blown /loose fuse.
