I was wondering if this oil is appropriate for my gearbox

There is no rating specified on that page. You need 75W-90. You could try contacting them to find out if that is available from them. Otherwise, any gear lube that is rated at 75W-90 will work.

I have it in 75w-90 however it is listed as GL-5 although it specifies it is non corrosive :w00t: Guess I will try it and let you guys know.

if it is automatic, why don't u keep it simple (KIP) and use the oil that toyota recommends ?

Unless you are doing serious shifting constantly GL-5 in our transmission is a waste and can actually possibly cause issues down the road. If you have a manual transmission your best performance and happiness will come from using AMSOIL, Redline, or if not available another synth like Mobil1 or Royal Purple.

You don't want a GL-5 . Go with GL-4 . I found out the hard way . Toyotas prefer the GL-4 . Go with Redline or Amsoil 75w-90 GL-4 . Both are for the better . If you do , let us know your experience .
