clutch kit question also opinion on brands

the time has come for me to change my clutch at 354000km, now wanted to know if aftermarket clutch quality are them same. Was going to get a clutch kit and I was looking on rockauto there is one for 85 and |I guest better quality ones for over 100$. My yaris is a daily driver, nothing fancy lots of highway driving. Looking for a good price that also offers good quality. Any feedback from other members how have changed there and reviews with what to looks for or brands recommend. Thanks.

$85 for a clutch kit, or a clutch disc?
I wouldn't cheap out on a clutch. Trying to save $50 will not be cost-effective if you have to tear it apart to replace a defective throw-out bearing etc. Also more likely to wear the expensive flywheel, and have clutch shudder with cheaper friction material. I typically put Exedy clutches in Japanese cars and have great results. They make a lot of OEM clutches.

True^. A new clutch kit from Toyota should work fine for you.

thanks guy for the info, I will look into the exedy and oem clutch. The 85$ one was a complete clutch kit. I figured since the OEM one lasted this long, might as well stick with that brand, but wanted to see what else was as good or better than the original.
