hey guys..
i own a 2007 yaris sedan... today i experienced a breakdown issue for my entire yaris life time which made me so upset about my car and it broke my trust with the vehicle. Its being 6 years i'm using it and never gave me a single trouble but suddenly this happened.
while i was driving about 160Kmph my car was suddenly stopped (engine turn offed) and i just parked it aside the road. when i tried to turn it on P/S ABS and handbreak indicators were on and steering wheel and break felt hard. No A/C, power shutters, power mirrors, radio, signal lights, break lamps, wipers, central lock. (Head lamp and Hazard is working) But the car is running perfectly
i dont know whats wrong with my car and i guess there might be a problem with ECU.
If anyone know a solution or cost for any replacement.. i would love to know it. PS under Toyota company maintains.

Are those things that were not working still not working? If so, it sounds like you blew one of the fusible links on the positive battery terminal.

Scott you beat me too it. My first thought too. But one wonders what grounded to blow the link in the first place. Same issue different car. 92' Civic years ago. The coil shorted and took out the link and later I realized the ECU was also damaged.
