I have tried folding the 60/40 seats in my HB so that they go flat, but no luck. Is it actually possible to fold them completely flat? It seems that the slight upward rise on the front part of the back seat (where your butt touches, not your back) is preventing the seat backs from lying fully flat. Is this something I have to live with or am I doing something wrong here? I do see some Yarii with the seats folding completely flat, but these seem to be the 5 door hatchbacks.

I havent yet owned a vehicle where the seats fold fully flat (although there must be some out there), it's probably as good as you'll get it

You need to make sure that each part of the rear seat is all the way forward before folding the seat-backs down. If you don't slide the rear seat portion all the way forward, the seat won't fold fully flat.

nah, it doesnt fold COMPLETELY flat, like some minivans and SUVs. i agree, the cuhioning prevents it from going all the way down...

Damn, that's nice. Makes the yaris pretty versatile. boris13, how long does it take to fold the seats down and back up again?

in canada rs is the only rear seat that slide and folds flat.. if you have it you have to first slide the rear seat all the way front then fold the seat forward and that will lay it flat...great luck!

ps: maaaan, when you move the rear seats forward, there is absolutely ZERO legroom in the back!! pretty handy for child seats though, especially if you have a 2-door liftback...

Hmmm, maybe a minute? 90 seconds? It's very easy.
