Anybody ever lift the car using floor jacks under the control arms? Will that damage the control arms ? kinda like where I have the red arrow at in this picture?

Not where you put the arroow, but on my Echo because the underbody is so rusted I jack up just under the subframe. I then place jacks on the sides behind the wheels.
I have done this for the past 2 years with no issues, I just do so carefully. I have also jacked the control arm up to put weight. On the suspension when I replaced the end links. I did this when they car was resting on jacks under the sides.

Likely you'll bent it. Not a good call.

Not a problem it's fine do it all the time on alignment rack and no u won't bend ur control arms.

Closer to the balljoint, but yes it is fine to lift there. Just be aware that the ctrl arm can angle when jacking. If your jack-pad is steel, it may slip off so watch that. I prefer to jack on the subframe bolts etc.
Cheers.

Is there a reason why you aren't using the usual lift spot? Like Cory stated, the control arm is a pivoting piece and will move as you're lifting, which is why most people don't do it
