Hi Guys,

Really need help.

There is a noise coming from the front of the car whenever i accelerate on slopes and no noise when am doing a descent except if i pump the gas pedal too abruptly. I have replaced the timing belt but the noise still persists and it is becoming quite noisy.

There is no problem as such with the car but this noise is making me worried. Some people have said that this is a recurrent problem in the gas pedal.

No mechanic has been able to diagnose this problem and keep telling me to change parts and have already done some changes with no result.

Can anyone please help me in trying to diagnose this issue.

Thanks

What kind of noise? Grind, squeak, clatter, tap? There are just so many different types of noises a car can produce. Help us out here so that we can hopefully help you.

Agreed w/ what Yari said above.

You mentioned you changed the timing belt...i'm assuming you meant the belt attached to the alternator as the Yaris has a timing chain, not a belt.

If it is a squeal coming from the belt then re tension it
