I have a 1.3L Yaris manual transmission that is knocking/rattling near the drive belt. I've searched around on here and found that this could be caused by the water pump so I replaced the water pump and drive belt last night. The water pump did have antifreeze all around it so I thought for sure that was the problem. After replacing I fired up the engine and the problem continues. I've taken a video (https://vid.me/VLYv) so you can hear the noise - has anyone experienced this? My next step is to go buy a stethoscope. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

It turned out to be the a/c unit. I listened with a stethescope and loud knocking could be heard from the a/c. I used a serpentine belt from a non a/c configuration to bypass it until I figure out what's wrong with it.

But does the a.c. work when on? Does it blow cold air?

How's the pulley? That's a different noise never heard that yet.

Do u use the air con often..? If not, then it should not be the AC unit

The a/c does work when it's turned on (I don't use it often) and is blowing cool air. I will check the pulley and report back.
