Well tomorrow is the big Day. The megasquirt goes into the car for a ful stand alone ECU I feel like a giddy little school girl. I will post pics and results later next week while on vacation.

Nice. I assume you are converting to a drive by cable throttle body?

Good luck with the install and tune. Keep us updated. I am currently having a difficult time with an AEM EMS-4 standalone.

I've found that a throttle controller opens up the DBW throttle mighty quick... I'm not sure it would make a huge difference in the end over DBC, but of course there's only one way to find out... I've been thinking about doing this mod if I ever get my nitrous tank installed...

Not directly. The 1.8 L engine's pistons are father apart, and the throttle body inner diameter is large enough to allow the gasket to fall into the plenum.

Yes they can be fitted the aluminum version from older Corrola or Celica's. Spacing is excellent, bolts holes no. You need to have a flange machined, also a 4 bolt to 3 bolt TB adapter or cut the plenum and weld the new mounting plate. TB from a 1ZZ fits, do a search and you'll find all the info you need. Also Tooter had intakes modified but I don't think he does anymore. Maybe he'll chime in.
