No doubt about it, it's gorgeous. But as far as KKB and private party pricing goes, even in excellent condition, price is in the range of $7,800.
I have an '08 in great condition with the same mileage and mine is worth a lowly $6,000. I say keep the car, or just trade up to something new as you'll more likely get $6,000-7,000 credit towards perhaps.. an STi? hehe

KBB isnt the only valuation source. Its a game, dealers "value" trade-ins using Kelley Blue Book values to buy, and use the higher NADA values to price to sell.
For anyone who has every bought a used Toyota at a Toyota dealer, you know the pricing is typically not in-line with "KBB"....it's always higher. NADA is why.
NADA lists my car at 10475. And try yours at NADA.com and see the difference....but yeah for that kinda money Ill keep enjoying it. Heck its still covered under the factory powertrain warranty!
Im not sure what $10,000 will buy thats any better, but the only nibbles Ive had have been from scammers and dealers wanting to pay me 7000 so THEY can retail it for 10999. You'll spend over $10k for a Honda Civic of the same year with 3 times the miles on it around here.
In fact CarMax offered me 7000 and told me they "lot it" at 10,895.
Never had such little interest in one of my immaculate and well-cared for vehicles and I'm no spring chicken! LOL. I guess the Yaris isnt for everyone.
Good luck to us both.

It's been what two weeks? You need to try harder than that. It is a pain in the ass to buy a car from a private individual, I am going through that now with a BRZ. You just got to list the car everywhere and wait, and you will eventually sell it.

This is true....Ive done this before, but yes....people feel more comfortable spending more at a dealer.

Oh, of course I know that there are other sources, but with sites like KKB available to the public, seeing that price on KKB allows them to low-ball us. However, I personally would not mind paying 10K for a car that is reliable way past the 500k mile mark.

It's crazy how people find that logic reasonable. Pay more up front to save money, versus paying smaller installments for x amount of interest over the payment period that ends up being in the thousands. :bonk:
Either way, good luck with sale! I'm going to put my Yaris back to stock so that I'm not giving away anything for free lol

Hopefully we aren't competing with each others selling efforts in the same market, I already removed the sway bar from mine, and its going on our Scion xD. Maybe the TRD muffler should come off too....

"I'm the Prez at my house...in fact I cruise around in YarForce One!"
Can't say that anymore if the Missus has Wranglered-up!
Haha, just breaking balls...
