You don't need to kill...just $2000 ($1500 USD????? =( ) and some paperwork....=) i can't imagine that this car is illegal in the USA. It's essentially the same as the sedan???

It is pretty much, paper work is a hassel, also some fee's on top of that. Can you share the VIN?

Well, I kinda figured you wouldn't really be able to buy the car, but I was sorry to kill the dream...

How many miles did you have on that Echo?

Back in echofans days, there were members who imported these into New England. Indeed is something special to have in the states. Just like how it was special to own a first gen xB in Canada back in the days. :)

Ha. I always wondered why I only ever saw one xB during my time spent in Montreal.

BTW I love that car. I wish Scion still made it. I would have bought one instead of the Yaris.

Lol

But they still make the xD don't they? That's the replacement.

The Echo hatch is getting old now.. I see them less and less nowdays.

Not a big fan of the xD or of the second gen xB. Really liked the look of the first gen though. Didn't want to take a chance buying a used one so I went with a new Yaris instead.

Oh and in America we see even fewer Echo hatches. They were never sold here.

Yeah, but the sedan was available. Too bad it didn't work well in the states, that even the forum closed down. It really isn't anything liked the Suzuki swift and the teamswift forum, which is still alive after this many year.

Well, the Echo sedan's looks just screamed poverty. It was ugly af, and looked too much like the basic, primitive transportation that it was. And for the $10,775 original MSRP, you could have gotten a much nicer albeit slightly used car.

In 2003, the Echo was available with power windows and power door locks. It wasn't bad looking fully loaded with fender flares.
