I have a 2010 Yaris (more infos in the signatur), like this example: rear (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/3c/Toyota_Yaris_II_Facelift_20090912_rear.JPG/1280px-Toyota_Yaris_II_Facelift_20090912_rear.JPG), front (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/17/Toyota_Yaris_II_Facelift_20090912_front.JPG/1280px-Toyota_Yaris_II_Facelift_20090912_front.JPG).

AFAIK, the US cars have at the side lighted yellow side markers (simultaneously on with the stand light). (I don't mean the blinking ones, cornering light)

I searched the web and it looks like at the side of the front headlights there is a lighted yellow area. Is this true?

This is the only area on the side which is lighted?

I thought all US cars have lighted yellow side markers in the bumpers, front and rear. No?

Have someone pictures of his/her car where this side markers are shown?

If the headlights have the only area with lighted yellow area where I could buy this headlights (from Germany)?

They are SAE DOT or/also Europe (an E with a number in a circle) tested marked?

Thanks.

I believe they come with US-spec headlights, as they are required by the regulations.

My car didn't have them, so I have installed them myself

The catch is, the bulbs are outside of the headlight housings.
I stuck up an LED bulb underneath each side of the fenders.
(The edge of housing is transparent plastic, therefore light gets refracted onto plastic shroud/reflector)

hey Mittleklasse, this is a very smart idea! Were did you wire it to?
I also want to do this, thanks for sharing.
