I want to put some fat mat on the floor and in the roof and doors on my hatch 07.
it would be too much to do everything. Has anyone done this???
I cant see how to get the roof piece off. and the doors will be hard i am sure.
they say if you do a part on the floor it keeps the floor from vibrating enough to help.
I saw them do a partial rig on Spike TV Engine Power. But they used some additional material on top of the fat mat.

You only need about 25% coverage of the sound deadening mat for it to work. It does not sound proof, it deadens. You only need enough to keep the metal from vibrating.

Here is site on sound proofing the car, that will put you in the right direction. Sounddeadeningshowdown (http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/)

Dynamat is a good alternative to fatmat. I used dynamat on my previous car and it really helped reduce the noise and vibration.

I used Knukonceptz Kno Knoise. (http://www.knukonceptz.com/mobile-audio/sound-deadening/kno-knoise-resonance-control/) I love it. Great price, too. Guys at works are shocked how you can't even hear the bass outside my car, but how much it pounds when they sit in it.
