ventilation control will not move

I have a 2009 sedan and the vent control is stuck. It will not turn to the recycled air position. Is there any ideas on what might be causing this knob from turning?

Usually it is a case where the air divertor door is sticking. Pull out the glove box and you can give it a little coaxing while turning the knob.

Jiggle it back and forth some, but not too forceful. It will become unstuck.

Thanks for the info for going through the glove box was the best way to start the trouble shooting, I found the cable end that should be attached to the knob just hanging loose.
I also found a great thread on this site that detailed how to pull the panel off and re-attach it. This is a great web site, full of great info and very intelligent users.

That's a nice thing about the yaris is that cables & levers actuate the hvac doors instead of vacuum or electronic actuators.
