Just wondering, how often should I change my manual transmission oil?

I change mine at 50,000 kilometer intervals and use a full synthetic 75W90.
Shifts like a dream!

I typically will make sure that when I change mine (usually once a year) I perform a flush as well. Yes for most people my interval is way overkill, but I would much rather change it once a year than risk anything with how the car is driven at 7k rpm for long durations at high speeds. So back to the flush it does help with moving any broken down portions of the current fluid.

With what do you flush?
I'd personally only use the same oil as I plan to re-fill with.

I use AMSOIL Transmission and Engine Flush

I have had no issues with it but do not recommend for normal driving

Seems like Toyota OEM products would be your safest bet in this case, since it is supposed to be formulated with exact Toyota mechanical specifications in mind.

The problem with the OEM fluid is that you run into the issues with shifting into reverse. The c50 is known for wear issues especially with the syncros as it is so the better the protection the safer you will be. Also for example AMSOIL, RP, Redline, etc meet or exceed API standards so they are perfectly fine to use.

most of the time dealerships buy this oil in bulk from the near by oil/gas company. this is for the m/t that has 75-90 gl-4. it's kinda generic, but ok.
