Hey Folks,
I wandered into my local Ukrainian Tire store to pick up a simple set of spark plugs for the first plug change on my 2008 Yaris 2dr. RS.

Off course with only 50,000km on the car (or 31,000 miles) i thought it time. (The dealer did 2 changes since new, but i'm over warranty now) Well I picked out what the Spark plug bible told me was made for the car.

NKG G-Power Platinum-Copper plugs. Well...

Everything i've read on the car called for an Iridium type plug...

Should I take the G-Power plugs back and switch them for NKG Iridium IX?

Dumb Canuck needs help.
Thanks
Bob

What was your dealer installing?
My '08 came equipped with Iridium plugs. I now use IX's in a colder (6 or 7) range with the S/C in play.

Thanks Muskoka800,
I went back and returned the G-Power for NKG IX Iridium's, the fella at Partsource told me only use Iridium on the 08 Yaris. (Muskoka eh? Beautiful Wooden Boat Country! Ever been up to the Lake of the Woods? We can pull Pickerel and Pike out all day ! )

Cheers
Rob.

It was all explained on the NGK website. I went there after the local parts distributor counter staff had no clue what the -11 represented.

No, I haven't seen Lake of the Woods although familiar with it's legend.
We had a family cottage near Bracebridge. My screen name originally came from my snowmobile forum days.
