Looking to buy used set of wheels

I may pick up a nice set of bronze GP GR3's this weekend. They are sized 15" 6.5 wide with a +35 offset. This will allow me to run my current stock sized rubber on them.

They are being sold as $500 firm for 5 rims. I don't need the 5th but it would be nice to have just in case something happens to one. 4 are in excellent condition and one has curb rash but they come with touch up paint.

What are all of your thoughts on the price for these rims? I'm prefer paying $400-$450 but I like the look and color of these rims, I think they'll look nice on my Yaris. The size is great and will let me know 10mm wheel spacers down the road if need be.

I saw those and a friend has a set for lapping with slicks. Nice wheels and they go +-$1150 a set new. I saw the add, I would suggest you grab them asap if their as clean as you say they are. ;)

At worst, it's only 50 bux more than your max budget + you get that 5th wheel.

I got mine for $400 plus tires on them that lasted me 1-1/2 seasons. I got lucky

I appreciate the input guys. I committed to the buy and will be picking them up this weekend.

Problem is they're an early wedding present so my fiancée is holding them until the spring time. I tried to convince her otherwise but that was her one condition lol.

It gives me something to look forward to once the snow is gone at least! They are nice looking rims. For those of you that have them, how is the weight compared to the stock steelies?

Such a shame they are double drilled. That aside, you get a set of four beautiful wheels in what appears near pristine condition.

I think they are comparable in weight to steelies, which is roughly 1 lb/inch of diameter + 1 lb. So you would be looking at 16 lbs/corner. With rubber, I'd say you'd be coming it at ~31 lbs/corner. Average weight, not lightweight, nor heavy.

damn, I was hoping to save some weight over stock. That being said, I'd rather have strength over lightweight and risk cracking on the rough roads of Southern Ontario.

My Yaris pulls fine now since the TB and manifold mod ;) (plus I'm looking into a resonator back custom exhaust which won't hurt)

Any recommendations out therefor lightweight wheels for everyday street use?

I don't mind buying used (kinda prefer it since I'm on a budget when it comes to modding) and I don't mind buying wheels from other car companies.

You could go with Mini Cooper wheels. These 15" Mini wheels weigh 11 or 12 lbs., and you can often find a nice set for about $200.

mini wheels and rota slipstreams are topping my list right now. rotas are a little more but i like the fact i can find them in a 16"
