Increased Milage with Custom Turbo

So after a few thousand KM, I'm now averaging 6.4L/100km having fun and 6.0L/100km driving conservatively. I'm now on a tank I've kept out of boost the entire time to see just how good I can get.

This is on a brand new short block and a rebuilt head that I mildly ported, mostly to clean the castings and smooth out the valve seat transitions. On my old motor I was averaging 6.3L/100km.

Yeah, short block refers to everything under the head. So the entire bottom portion of the motor is brand new.

You can build a turbo application on the Yaris with the 1nz for mpg instead of performance. There have been folks that have done it, but I just don't understand why...lol

Because I have the best of both worlds now. Excellent fuel economy for 95% of the driving I do and tire shredding torque for passing.
