Hello i have a 2008 yaris which had a low oil pressure issue , we got it fixed by changing the crankshaft bearing (removing all the engine ) , but after that a wired issues appeared : the speedometer not working and causes heavy steering according to yaris service manual . there is no speed sensor in transmission , so i tested the front wheel speed sensors with a multimeter and they are just fine , i cheked every fuse in the car (all good ) . i tried a Bluetooth OBDII scan tool with no luck (my yaris uses M-OBD) .
note : i have one of rear abs sensor not working since a bought the car and i know it's causing abs/brake lights but the speedo was working fine .

Considering that your engine was pulled to replace the bearing you should check to make sure that all connections were restored. The wheel speed sensors feed directly to the ABS ECU (which is below the brake master cylinder). Check to make sure that the connector is plugged into it and then check to make sure that the wiring between it and the front wheel sensors did not get pinched and damaged.

thank you CTScott for repliyng ,
problem found and fixed by using a scanner (launch x431) : the front abs sensors (the one in driver side is used as vss)
