The manual listed a 2016 Yaris with 6MT. I assume this is for the non-U.S. market? Or does the 2016 come with a 6MT?

According to the US Toyota website (http://www.toyota.com/yaris/features/mechanical_performance/1463), the 2016 SE offers a 5MT option. The Scion iA (https://www.scion.com/models/iA/2016/specs), which is actually a Yaris sedan in Canada (http://www.toyota.ca/toyota/en/vehicles/yaris-sedan/overview) and, I believe, some other countries the sedan is available in both 6 speed MT and AT. Simply put, the Yaris HB offered in the US is only available in 4 speed AT and 5 speed MT.

Yup....the Canadian "Yaris" has a Mazda skyactiv mill rather than the 1nz right? So no tranny swap there.

I think that all European 3rd gen Yarises (1,3 VVTi petrol and 1.4 Diesel) come with 6 speed MT. Even those built before facelift.

Skocka is right, those Euro versions from 2012 get the 6sp manual transmission, but believe me it's total crap if you want performance. Great gearing for low fuel consumption, but totally useless if you want a zippy car...

I think it may in fact bolt up, as the EC67 is available on motors that are compatible with the C50. It's otherwise physically completely different from the C50--the clutch slave cylinder is directly on the throwout bearing, it's a 2-piece housing instead of 3, different mounting points, etc.

Yep, it's only for better fuel consumption, no zippy car!
