 Nice color. I came really close to getting silver instead of white myself. Do you plan to add any extras?

The glass roof is awesome! Yet another thing for me to rant about when comparing the Toyota U.S/NA market to that of Europe, Japan, etc.

I've never seen a glass roof Yaris before, not even in Europe. I didn't know such a thing existed. How long has that option been around?

Anyway congratulations on your new car.

I already have some 17" alloys in the basement, but I'm gonna paint them before I put them on.

Thinking on white, gold or gun grey...

Right they look like this: (Picture is taken from google)

Actually, I don't really know.

But I think they began to pop up in 2015...

The funny thing is, that you can't really order it on the danish Toyota homepage, so maybe it's a special edition...

And thanks, I'm really happy with it.

So what do you think of the older Yaris versus the new Yaris of 15+? I had a 11 and bought a 15. Like the 15 a lot better. Interior is a huge step up.

The old was a 2014/6 model, so it's actually the same model...just in Black.

But I've also had 2012, and yes the interior is better in the 2015 model.

I actually didn't think I would get a Yaris again, but it's just a nice little car and I don't need a big car.

And the the bad reviews you mostly see...I don't understand why.

I figured it might be hot in the summer, but I'll just crank up the air con.

Damn so jealous, they don't even make the new ones in manual here in the US anymore no market out there for them, sad to see them discontinue them here but I guess business is business.

incorrect

a less incorrect answer is that dealers don't stock em because nobody (few) wants 'em

this fact applies to most vehicles

.... and few people under 30 or even 40 have ever or will ever drive a manual shift vehicle

remember that the huge majority of drivers are motorists not enthusiasts

:offtopic: sorry

Certain regional Toyota Distribution channels have chosen not to stock them. The region that Arizona is in is one of them, effective end-of-model-year 2014, which is why I had to buy my 2015 SE manual out-of-state (from a different OEM supply-chain region) and have it shipped to my home. The fact that my particular Yaris sat on the lot for approx. 9 months, despite being one of the most popular car colors available, is a depressing testament to how unpopular the Yaris is in the USA - particularly the manual version (and probably the SE due to higher price tag).

The local AZ dealerships had some lame-sounding excuse that if they sold the manual Yaris, then their designated regional OEM parts distributor would be required (by Toytota) to stock all OEM parts of that manual Yaris for a full 20 years after-the-fact - which isn't worth their time/space considering how few manual Yaris sold from 2012-2014 in that regional area. Apparently, they aren't even happy about stocking parts for the Yaris, period - including automatics.

The sad fact is that U.S. Toyota dealerships wouldn't even stock/sell the Yaris in any form if they had a choice in the matter - so they do the next best thing and stock only the minimum required amounts dictated my Toyota HQ - usually all automatics (and a token manual here in there in applicable regions). They would rather sell you any other new Toyota model on the lot, and make better profit margins.

I know how it is. the sales guy tried pretty hard to talk us out of a Yaris and into a Corolla. We weren't having any of it.:laugh:
