Recently my right side mirror got hit by a bus and it got twisted towards the opposite side of where it folds. It got back into its position by pulling by hand. Unfortunately the signal light got broken but that's a different story. Now the problem is, since then when I fold/unfold the side mirror by pushing the button; both of the the mirrors do not rotate at the same time. Perhaps the right side mirror which was hit rotates 1/2 seconds later. I am guessing that the internal motor is damaged but can it be repaired without changing it?

The motor drives a plastic gearbox. Chances are that the gears skipped when it was hit, so the end positions are off. I am not sure if you can open the gearbox or if they are molded.

i'm pretty sure you can transfer motors. so if you can't open the gearbox as Scott suggested, maybe you can transplant a motor from, say, a camry or a corolla?
on a different note, are you sure one is delayed or you just didnt notice until now? just curios because normally the driver's side closes/opens later due to the wider angle.

Nah, I had a mirror assembly open and it's little plastic cogwheels and gears inside. I'm certain CTScott is right: a cogwheel slipped a gear somewhere when OP forced it.
If it bothers you that much, you'll need to replace the entire mirror (but you can keep the part that's painted).
