All,
I have a 2007 yaris sedan, purchased in the USA, with no immobilizer. Recently the metal key portion of my key fob broke off. The keyless entry portion of the fob is still intact and functional.
The sticker on the back of the fob has worn away, and I don't have the instruction manual anymore.
Two questions:
Is it possible to replace only the metal key portion of the fob? If so, then I can simply get it cut and install it into the otherwise functional fob.
From reading posts here, I understand that my car may only respond to one of the two FCC IDs that represent the 2007 key fobs without immobilizers (MOZB41TG and MOZB21RG?). Is there any other way to determine which replacement fob model is the correct one for my car, other than the sticker that has worn away and the car's instruction manual?
Thanks
