Hi guys, my antenna got smashed by the garage door and I need to replace it. Do you know a place where I cane get one (the base of the antenna). Or give ame an alternative to replace the antenna base with something else. Thanks
(I will post some pics later of the damage)

I ran into the same issue but with a car wash. Just make sure you temporarily cover the top if it's exposed with some black electrical tape. This is to prevent any water leaks.

If you don't want to go through the hassle of removing the underside of the hood to unscrew the antanne base you can also look into those generic shark fins. Just cover it up lol. Your radio should still work regardless.

I know that it is subjective, but I much prefer the look of the color-matched shark-fin fractal antenna on my Yaris, versus the original OEM one.
If you go that route, I recommend the Visual-Garage brand OEM-color-match version, versus the cheaper generic fins found on eBay and such.

i prefer the bendy antenna found in prius and 2012+ yaris....so i swapped it my R/C antenna out for one. If you want original, i think i have the base in my trunk.

Old thread I know but, I need info.
If you want to just replace the antenna part and not the base, is it just a matter of unscrewing the old antenna and screwing on the new? . TIA

Hi there,
Is very simple to take it off, I don't remember how I did it but it was very simple. I no longer have a Yaris now, but I know somewhere I have pics of the process.

Yup. It takes just a few seconds.
