Hello everyone I'm confused of what belt to buy I'm going to change the serpentine belt on my 07 Yaris hatchback but I don't know whether I need to buy the belt with AC or without AC? Can someone please help and I know I have to be very careful as I don't want to Damage the oil control valve because I replaced that 2 months ago ;)

What's the reason you want to change that belt in the first place? They generally have a pretty long life time.

Some time I heared the noise when start from cold looks to me loud squeal noise.

After 10-20min drive it disappear.

I tried soap on the belt and the noise increases.

I then clean the belt with soft brush and pulleys with the same.

The noise is v low now but I will double check this again and provide an update.

I just share this it may benefit to someone who is in same situation

so no soap or wax

clean the belt with dry soft brush.

Lubricating a pulley system with soap. Yeah, that'll never work.

If noise is less now, chances are you increased the tension on the belt after your cleaning efforts. That is assuming you had actually loosened or removed the belt.

However, that belt, if it's original is old and a prime candidate for replacement.

How often does the belt need to be changed say if I do it now with 150000 miles when would I have to do it again?

change the darn thing....it's not like you are rebuilding the transmission.....it's not going to break the bank and you can stop worrying about it.
