If a radio is isn't well grounded, it will not function the right way? For instance it will freeze during music play or others.

For example:
Indash dvd crap is installed. when I break or go on bumps...the radio flickers.

- It is not the cablng
- It is not the indash dvd
- is it not hte CD skipping

-- Can it be the grounding (where it is screwed down) isn't that well grounded
If hte indash isn't well grounded. will it be wise to have a direct ground cable from the bttery (using the fog light entrance) to the radio? (using the harness that is)

Let me break it down even further.

I'll bring 1 cable from battery to the dash. That cable be connected to the bracket of the radio + the black ground cable of the harness.

**I'm assuming is it hte grounding, if not what can it be?
repunch: only happens on nasy holes or bumps and when I make a nasty brake.

any inputs will be well appreciate it. I'm stuck with a gay generic (never buy generic) $300 indash dvd. I don't regret spending it...well sort of but its okay. its my loss.

After spending that much on my HID projectors...300 is noffin :'(

Are you actually losing power momentarily, or is power up and functions momentarily cease/pause?

umm...

Here:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zmjKftTrtGo

That video shows how bad it gets. First the song skips....after few bumps..it does that.

You say power huh...ummm

Again its definitely not hte CD nor hte player because it plays well outside the dash. Its not hte cabling because I made my own today...i bought hte harness from circuit city, cut the white piece and insert it in the back of the dvd player. So the cable is new and works...., also got 15(fuse) on the battery (yellow cable) and 5(fuse) on the ACC (red cable).

It appears to be a hard reset per say. I am thinking more of a power issue in the head unit itself after being jolted. Did you get it from Wally World? If so, gather everything up and take it back for an exchange. If that is not an option I would be apt to try both a head unit and mounting chassis ground to the firewall, or another support bracket in the dash area.

What is the ACC cable for anyway?

There is no shame in getting what you want with the options you need. I hope it didn't come across like that. I was just making a suggestion for one more step in possible repair.

could simply be the unit itself, and you are on a goose chase to nowhere.

if you still havent figured out acc red wire, it is the accesory power which is when you turn the key to acc IT turns on but it is off when acc is off
