My wife's Yaris is 2012 1.0litre. Suddenly got a squealing noise from the right hand side of the engine. It's not the alternator belt which is fine, the noise comes from the opposite side. Have no idea what it could be, but makes me worried. It stops every now and then so it's not constantly on... Is there another belt or something that could cause it? It's bank holiday weekend and can't take to garage until next weekend, and worried if it's something serious,
Thanks

If it is on transmission side, my first thought is crankshaft bearing going bad?

Ok I managed to find this: if I put my foot on the clutch lightly that sound goes away. So its something to do with the clutch. Could the clutch be going?
It's manual gearbox btw.
It's still underunder Toyota 5 yr warranty, not sure if that's covered...
