Exhaust noise

Have 08 sedan with 230K kilometers, lately i've been starting to hear an exhaust noise that IMO sounds like the donut has sprung a leak however my mechanic says Toyota doesnt use a donut to connect tailpipe to engine,he says the fix is expensive, :confused: what is he talking about?

there is a gasket at the front I guess donut like lol and one at the rear at the axle back.
The one in the front can be a pain to replace , you will need gasket spring and bolt kit from Toyota, same for the rear.

Someone place a call to Crime Stoppers regarding that mechanic. He's either a crook or clueless.

I ate a donut yesterday and had a problem with some exhaust noise of my own. Yea., gotta be a bad donut.
