Did a small project today just because I was curious how it would turn out.
I used Plasti-Dip to black out the rear bumper red reflectors. It kind of looks like Pseudo vents now. I think it would turn out a little better if you would use patterned black vinyl. I just masked it off with painters tape, being very meticulous on edge coverage. I then sprayed thin layers, and it dries fairly smooth. Heres some pictures just incase you guys wanted to do it yourselves.

Happy Modding!

I did the same thing two weeks ago. It makes the rump look so much better.

Hmmm... interesting. Looks neat.

But, I rather like rear bumper reflectors; they really add visibility to a car. Plus, I question the trend (that just about every manufacturer is suddenly adopting) of adding those fake rear bumper vents and huge black (stylized) reflector surrounds .

I experimented with several rear reflector additions/options to my 2015, but ended up scrapping them. Nothing seemed to look quite right to me. A good set of reflectors can really help with visibility at night with all the moron drivers out there. If only Toyota would have just left the 2015/2016 Yaris alone for the North American market, and left the rear taillights and bumper how they have it set-up Europe, etc. - with the reflectors integrated into lower black bumper valance, and no separate reverse lights down there).

Yeah, Honda is loving those GINORMOUS black foglight/driving-light/reflector housings now on their front/rear bumpers. They look goofy. :brokenheart:

Couldn't do that on my U.K. version even if I wanted to. The right hand side (U.K. offside) unit is a high intensity, red, rear, fog light.
