***This car is no longer in the salvage yard. Any parts that I scavenged and still have are listed in my for sale thread (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57751).***

Hard front hit, may be worth picking some pieces off of it. Let me know if there's anything you need.

Prices are determined by the salvage yard, listed here (http://www.lkqpickyourpart.com/locations/LKQ_Pick_Your_Part_-_Holland-346/prices/). Buyer pays shipping and cores.

*EDIT* I will not resell or ship SRS-related items (airbags, seatbelts, SRS ECUs, etc.).

Apologies, I'm not comfortable reselling SRS-related items (air bags, seat belts, air bag sensors). The seatbelts have a pretensioner squib--read EXPLOSIVE--that is also illegal to ship (http://pe.usps.com/text/pub52/pub52apxa.htm).

I took a look at it last night. It's a 5-speed with 60/40 rear bench, standard radio, power windows and locks. Still has a key so the transponder and ecu may be worth salvaging. Wheels are already gone, everything looks stock underneath, but it's a Michigan car, so there's rust on the suspension and brakes. I plan to go back onSaturday to get some stuff, let me know if you want me to look for something.

curious on the complete transmission, my second gear syncro is not as happy as i like it to be, and since I am about to replace the clutch i would like to go ahead and throw a used transmission in since i am going to step the clutch down a stage and making it more street-able.

The real question is how much would it cost to ship it to me, since it would only be about 130.32 for the transmission.

shipping to 29201 or 29179, depending on if it would be better to ship it to my house or work,

I haven't verified that the mounts are intact. It's pretty well smooshed in there, so it may not want to come out without a fight. I'll see about going tomorrow or Sunday and wrenching on it some more.

As for shipping, I think putting it on a small palette and sending it freight is probably the most economical. Next in line is sending it via FedEx or UPS to a business address. I've done it both ways when purchasing a gearbox, can't remember which was cheaper.

UPS to business would most likely be the best option. once you make a determination on if it is worth the effort let me know.

The casing is intact. The fork may be bent (the slave cylinder was sheared off) as it wouldn't move by hand. I'll see about getting pictures this evening.

I agree about UPS non-freight being the better choice--maybe $60 instead of $150+.

you are awesome, keep that up.

check the input shaft for me, I've seen some horror with wiggly shafts.

i'm fairly certain i can transfer my fork from my current transmission.

CrankyOldMan
06-20-2016, 09:53 PM
Ok, good news and bad news. Mostly bad. The good news is that the input shaft is pretty solid. A few thousandths of movement, but nothing a new bearing can't fix. The bad news is that the fork isn't bent, the pivot point is broken off the bellhousing, exposing the interior of the gearbox. If you're handy with a welder or brazing, you could probably fix it, but it's beyond my skill set to fix.

There's also a problem with the shifter linkage: it doesn't look bent, but it doesn't fit the way it's supposed to. I'll leave it up to you, but I'd like to know this week so I can return it if you don't want it.

Golddeenoh

That is beyond my welding skill, nor do i have the tools to do transmission work. But if you come across a suitable transmission, let me know, sorry it wasn't worth the effort.

No worries, I learned a LOT about taking the front end apart. That will come in handy for the 1.8 swap.

hello there again,

looks like someone stole/fell off driver side mirror cover, if you have one please let me know. Thank you

I'm not sure we've met before. Perhaps several years ago?

I've got a pair of blue side mirrors in my spare parts bin, but I'd rather keep them intact (I don't mind splitting the pair).

I have seen you a lot in this forum thats all... But I'm interest only on the driver side mirror cover (just the blue part). Anyhow how much is it just for the cover or how are you selling it? and a short antenna for the yaris

btw my yaris is a maroon color so i have to paint both covers

No, they close manually. Only the mirror adjustment is electric. I don't think that I've ever seen electric folding mirrors on a USDM Yaris.

Interested in the driver side plastic corner pillar cover in front of the driver door window. Are the plastic clips still intact? Mine broke upon removal, didn't know they had to be depressed from the inside then slid off of the pin.

This one didn't have the side curtain airbags, and the top clip mount is cracked.

I'm interested in the hub caps (for my winter rims). Are you able to post UPS to Canada?

Also the little removable shelf thing that goes above the trunk area, and hangs from the hatch by a couple of thin cords. I couldn't find that listed on the page you said to check for prices.

Yes, I can ship to Canada at your cost. The car itself has been gone from the yard for over a month now, and the wheels/caps were gone before I got to it. I still have my cargo area cover, but it's cracked in the center. If you're interested, I can get a photo of it later/tonight.

Does it still have the plastic trim that holds the shift boot in place? Mine has a broken tab and likes to move around.

Going to assume the front cross member is messed up but any idea if it's in good shape?

EDIT: Just realized this thread is from last year. Whoops! sorry!

If you have a spare ring I'm definitely interested.

Don't mean to threadjack or get off topic but I'm not entirely sure what the name of the part I need is. After looking at the cross member on the parts diagram, doesn't look like what I need but I don't see the part in the diagram either. I need the portion that my control arm bolts to. My passenger side whatever that thing is has a decent dent in it after I got into an argument with a pothole (pothole won). I'll try to get a picture up if you can help me figure out the name of this part so I can search a bit better.

I get ya, just not sure if it's the subframe or something that bolts to the sub frame. The subframe on the parts diagram doesn't look like what's dented on my car. Just not sure what I'm looking for. Also can't seem to find any liftbacks at the wreckers here. http://s6.photobucket.com/user/heeroyuy01195/media/20170227_122302.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0

Yes, that's the subframe.

One is an 88, but the undercarriage is in terrible condition. I won't be able to start pulling anything off it for at least a month--it still has to be worked out in the divorce settlement before I can "otherwise dispose of it".

How much for one front coil spring shipped to 55106?
Same as above. I think it's an original spring, so it's really rusted and worn.

Check back with me in May and I'll see what I can get for you.
