Poor gear shifting, Knock sensor code and poor idle running at cold temperature

Hello
Please what could be responsible for my toyota yaris 2006/2007 model poor idle running at low temperature?
It also has a poor transmission shift, mostly in the shifting becomes very poor when on hill and a knock sensor code. The dashboard displays check engine light.

Please what could be responsible for all these issues?

I'm going to have to say faulty knock sensor since you've indicated you're getting knock sensor code. Post up the actual code(s) that you are getting.
