So I bought an remote start kit which came with a push button start (https://www.amazon.com/EASYGUARD-Rolling-Passive-Automatic-Identify/dp/B00IF1N314/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1470417352&sr=8-2&keywords=easyguard). I have everything pretty much working except the push start button. I'm suppose to leave my key in the ON position of the car, however when I push the button to stop, the engine remains on but some of the electronics are off until I move the key to off. But if I move the key to off first, some of the electric components remain on until I push the button.
Did I wire something wrong? Theoretically I should be able to leave a cut key on the ON position and just use the button. remote start also doesn't work unless there's a key in the on position as well.
Support guy says I should remove the ignition cylinder but I tried to follow an old guide but I tried to push the button for the cylinder but couldn't get it out for the life of me.
